Dell laptop user may report that the computer displays a warning message when turning on the computer while connected to an AC adapter or Dell Dock.
The issue occurs on several laptop models when set in BIOS to auto-power. The wattage error message may differ based on the power source connected. In addition to the error message, the computer is also not properly charging.
See the following examples of the warning messages:
Alert! A 7W AC power adapter has been detected. The system can only boot when a 60W power adapter or greater.
Alert! A 15W AC power adapter has been detected. The system can only boot when a 60W power adapter or greater.

If you are using Windows 10, open any application such as Microsoft Outlook, Word or PowerPoint, and you may see the message "No battery is detected" (Figure 6). You may also see this message when you leave the computer idle for 10 to 30 minutes.
