dell xps 9570 OS crashes when installing nvidia driver

Hello, i have Dell XPS 9570 and i have problem with GPU driver (Nvidia) every time i download Nvidia driver the operating system (windows 10) crashes with blue screen:

Stop Code : PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

What failed: nvIddmkm.sys

i reinstalled windows 10 many times but i got the same issue when installing GPU driver

also i tried Linux but still it crashes. (That happens only after installing Nvidia GPU)

Please help. it's really frustrating

Ah, but it isn't used, even if installed -- in safe mode, the windows drivers are used.  This is even more conclusive evidence of a dying GPU.

If the system works acceptably for you using only the Intel GPU, you're set.  If not, and you need the nVidia  GPU, you need to replace the system board.

Sounds like you've identified a faulty GPU - for which the only solution is a replacement system board.

do you still have all the auto updates on like the dell auto update and windows updates ? They have any impact ?

Looks like factory restore it is for the next step

Yes windows update always on and when it downloads Nvidia driver the problem occurs. And yes I thought that the GPU maybe dead.but when I restarted the windows in safe mode it didn't crash even though the driver is installed.

I have exactly the same issue with the nVidia GPU on Dell XPS 9570. I also suspect that the GPU have too many transistors dead. But if so, this appealing bad quality of manufacturing by TSMC for nVidia, the notebook is only 2 years old.

Is there a way to definitively determine if the GPU is bad via some diagnostic method besides getting blue screens when enabling the driver?

I wonder if I also have a deficient Graphic Card/GPU...or?

Most of the time I can see it in the Device Manager but Windows would have blocked it because of a problem (code 43, little yellow triangle next to it).

I succeeded after many many many BSOD to install the latest Nvidia driver in Safe Mode without Network of course.

Worst thing is that I have run a few times a full Diagnostic using Dell's software (BIOS) at start up and it has never ever found any issues.

That is insane.

I updated to Win 11 with no problem but with same code 43 and Graphic Card blocked by Windows.

Please review the attached image below, it says it all (was shot before I update to Win 11).

Help please.

I know the feeling...a few years old and already deficient!

I run all tests and everything is great. It is so annoying...if I disable then re-able it in Device Manager, everything looks good. Yet, it does not function in reality, neither the Nvidia Control Panel. Nothing we can do to make it alive.

I do not see the point of having a dead graphic card? I use intensively Adobe's products and rely on it for the heavy and demanding jobs. GPU is dead.

Exactly my conclusion...after 2 years. Really make no sense.

Everything is up to date. And no more BSOD. But still no functioning Graphic Card.

You do not want to know how much I work on it to make it not crash. name it, I did it.

As said above Ahmed alaa, "in safe mode, the windows drivers are used". It is a useless...fight.

Ahmed aala, so did you replace the board/laptop or are you working with integerated gpu right now?
I just bought the laptop from ebay from a ebay verified company but unfortunately bad luck. I am convinced the laptop is dead but still having that glimmer of hope because i really like this laptop :')
