Dell optiplex 9010 dual monitor display not working
Hi! I hope I can find some help here....
I have a Dell OptiPlex 9010 CPU with a Intel 4000 graphics card. I'm trying to set up a dual monitor display in my home office. The two monitors are a Dell U2711 and a Dell E1713S. The desktop is recognizing both displays in the display settings
I've used both of these monitors independently of each other with a VGA connection with this desktop. Currently I'm attempting to connect the E1713S model using the VGA and the U2711 model using the DisplayPort.
The VGA connection works fine when its in either computer. If I plug in the VGA and DisplayPort cables into the U2711 I can successfully use the DisplayPort input. However, when I plug the VGA into the E1713S and the DisplayPort into the U2711 it won't work. When I try and change the input or bring up the on screen settings menu on the U2711 it says that "There is no signal coming from the computer"
Please help!!!!

E1713S looks like an old Dell monitor with VGA only.
Is it 9010 MT or SFF?
when E1713S is connected alone to pc via VGA, it works?
when you add a second U2711 to pc via DP, what happens? do you get no video on either monitor? try not to hot connect monitors when pc is on.
connect the two monitors in above manner when pc is off, make sure video cable securely connected at both ends, then power on pc.
