Aurora R12 Does Not Boot - 2 x 32GB Ram Upgrade

My Alienware R12 has the alienhead flashing yellow light in cycles of 2 flashes at a time (I waited for ~15min before shutting it down) after I installed 2 x sticks of Corsair Vengeance Pro (32GB DDR4 3200Mhz). This configuration was listed as compatible here:
https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-au/alienware-aurora-r12-desktop/alienware-aurora-r12-setup-and-specifications/memory?guid=guid-e9d2ea83-38a4-431d-803c-96d63c1dbc34&lang=en-us
but not here:
https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-au/alienware-aurora-r12-desktop/alienware-aurora-r12-service-manual/installing-the-memory-modules?guid=guid-dec583cd-e3c9-4bf3-a1e5-718de475aa58&lang=en-us
Should I have waited longer for it to boot, or is it not compatible (I checked and apparently 2 yellow flashes means memory cannot be detected)?
Here are what I've tried:
- Reseating ram
- Installing in different slots (it was 2 & 4, I tried 1 & 3)
- Clearing CMOS battery
- Installing individual sticks
None worked
Can someone please advise?

As per the R12 FAQ only the OEM memory is guaranteed to work. Aftermarket memory is hit and miss.

If you already cleared CMOS and it still did not boot up, it will likely not be compatible.

OEM memory:

Four slots
128GB maximum
6TCK6 32GB HyperX Fury XMP DDR4, 3400MHz, Unbuffered, 288 pin, Dual Rank, 1.25V, Non-ECC, Kingston X6TCK6-MIE, X6TCK6-HYA
VTW4H 32GB HyperX Fury XMP DDR4, 3200MHz, Unbuffered, 288 pin, Dual Rank, 1.25V, Non-ECC, Kingston XVTW4H-MIE
JV223 16GB HyperX Fury XMP DDR4, 3400MHz, Unbuffered, 288 pin, Single Rank, 1.35V, Non-ECC, Kingston XJV223-HYA, XJV223-MIE
K2M26 16GB HyperX Fury XMP DDR4, 3400MHz, Unbuffered, 288 pin, Single Rank, 1.35V, Non-ECC, Kingston XK2M26-MIE

2YH1K 16GB HyperX Fury XMP DDR4, 3200MHz, Unbuffered, 288 pin, Single Rank, 1.25V, Non-ECC, Kingston X2YH1K-HYA, X2YH1K-MIE
W21KG 8GB HyperX Fury XMP DDR4, 3200MHz, Unbuffered, 288 pin, Single Rank, 1.25V, Non-ECC, Kingston XW21KG-HYD2, XW21KG-MIE, XW21KG-MIE2

Note: Kingston OEM is not the same as Retail Kingston, even if the names (HyperX Fury) are identical.

Hi, thanks for the reply, do you have any idea as to why there's a discrepancy between the 2 Dell websites in terms of what configuration is accepted? And where can I have access to OEM ram since based on what you said retail HyperX ram might also not work? I looked them up in the official Dell shop and those HyperX Fury sticks were not there

I have no idea why they would be different.

I would contact a Dell agent to see why these are different, by pressing the get help now button in the lower right corner of the screen. They can also tell you where to get the OEM memory for the R12.
