I've forgotten my iDRAC password server, PowerEdge R750xs iDRAC 9, so I need a way to reset it without restarting.
Thanks and best regards.

Hello,
Other ways to reset passwords: You can use OMSA.
OMSA Download link:

Procedure to install:

Procedure to change iDRAC password from OMSA:

If you are not able to install OMSA, this could also help: you can boot the Support Live Image and then you run OMSA.

Hello thanks for choosing Dell and welcome to our community:
https://dell.to/3RXRAdq
System Identification Button
For systems with an iDRAC, a small button that is marked "i" (Figure 1 and Figure 2) is typically on the front and back of the system. This i button is the System Identification button. In order to reset the iDRAC without rebooting the operating system, press and hold the System Identification button for at least 16 seconds. Stop pressing the button when the cooling fans start spinning at full speed and the front LCD (if present) is off. Now the iDRAC restarts without changing any saved settings. It may take a minute or longer until the remote controller restarts.

@DELL-Young E
An iDRAC reboot doesnt reset the unknown Password.
@Ahmed Emam
You need to install the iDRAC Tools aka "racadm" or just copy the exe and the one DLL from another system to your Host. The racadm is availalbe for Windows, Linux and ESXi. You need administrator/root Permissions to execute it when working "local".
The root user used the fixed slot 2 (16 in total available).

@DELL-Young E , @Origin3k Thanks for your response. I need to ask something before trying. None of the previously mentioned solutions could restart Windows or affect any RAID configuration or other settings??.

Hi,
These methods will not restart your Windows operating system or affect your RAID configuration or any other settings. The iDRAC reset and password changes are isolated actions that only impact the iDRAC configuration.

It will not effect the running OS or System.
