HI,
In regards to the 15R Series there are a lot of Sub Type
Inspiron 15R 5520
Inspiron 15R 5521
Inspiron 15R 5537
Inspiron 15R N5110
Inspiron 15R SE 7520
Currently I have Taken the 1st one.
Hopefully the layout for all would be the same.
Now the Link that I am Sharing Below you will need to Zoom IN.
To the bottom Right hand Side, you will a List of Combination keys which you can USe and what are its Purpose.

Hi grandoldlady,
A function key is a key on a computer or terminal keyboard which can be programmed so as to cause an operating system command interpreter or application program to perform certain actions.
Dell has configured the function keys with a combination of Fn key on the keyboard for certain multimedia functions. To make a use of it you should have installed quickset driver. Please let us know the Dell model and keys you want to know about.

My question is what do these icons do? Instructions did not come with my Dell Inspiron and I don't know howto use them.

Hi GRANDOLDLADY,
Correct me if I am wrong, you are looking to findout what does a Specific Function Key do on your Keyboard.
For Example : You want to know what will happen if Press FN+F1.
If So please 1st share the Inspiron System Model for the Dell Team to Assist you further.
