in fact if you have internet connected, and click the RST and do (righclicked) update driver it will. (from MS driver PNP catalogs)

Latest and greatest driver for ANY vendor including INTEL and AMD and NVIDIA does not work with older hardware.  8700 USES Intel 8 Series Z87 Chipset from 2013.  13/14/15/16/17 VERSIONS of RST DO NOT APPLY.

Are you working with the Win 10 iastora.sys driver situation?  If so, is anything on your system currently using that driver?

The version of the IRST doesn't always install a newer version of the iastora.sys driver.  If you are using the iastora.sys driver, you may need to take special steps to get it changed, assuming the IRST update does not do that for you.

I have a system which is using the storahci.sys driver and will not even install the IRST drivers.
