RST drive failure

I recently went to turn my computer on after putting it into hibernation, and was greeted with an error screen telling me one of my RST drives had failed. After hitting CTRL-I and going into the config for it, I was able to disable RST completely and get my computer to boot back up. However, the "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" monitoring program now shows no RST drive, and I am not sure how to troubleshoot it further without potentially affecting my C: drive. The computer is also running noticeably slower, though I would guess that's because it no longer has the SSD available.

I would like to request assistance with this. I have already run the pre-startup diagnostics (F12 at boot) and have found no errors. I would like to know if this is something that can be corrected on my own, or if I will have to request parts or service from Dell. For reference, the laptop is a 7720R. Thanks.

If the system will boot with RST disabled, and you saw that warning message, it sounds like the mSATA drive needs replacement - call Dell for a warranty repair.

Actually, the computer will boot now with RST disabled, and I don't see the error message anymore. I do notice that it takes longer to boot than it used to, though.

An update - when bringing the computer back up from hibernation this morning, I got a message saying that it detected a new drive in bay 2, and then the RST monitoring program gave me a warning, saying part of my system was at risk. It allowed me to turn on the mSATA drive and looks like I will be able to activate it again. Going to play with it after work.
