Dell Inspiron SD Slot. when I put in a SD card, should it show up on my PC folder? I don't see this device pop up.
There is a SD slot for a SD memory card. I have a micro SD into a SD adapter with a video file. There is a lock and unlock slider on the SD card but when I put it into the slot to the computer, I don't see this device and I don't hear a "ding". I remember having used this before. Does anyone know what might be wrong with it? what should I be checking? There is be something on the list that shows the external device, right? Please give me some advice. Thanks.

thanks for responding.... hope you give me some ideas.. upgrade from Windows 8 before.

Can you tell me what I need to do to check if all drivers are up to date? I don't see the sd card on device manager when put in the SD card.

HEY HEY HEY!!! YOU WERE RIGHT!! REINSTALLING THIS DRIVER DID THE TRICK.. DON'T KNOW WHY IT WASN'T THERE BUT IT WORKED AFTER PUTTING THIS BACK IN............

i'm reinstalling alot of the drivers now... i see new dates on these so i guess mine is out of date since windows 10 installed. what does the lock and unlock switch do on the SD adapter? in either position, i should see the file but in the lock, i won't be able to delete or modify the file?
