Disabling RST on Dell Inspiron 7490 or Switching to AHCI controller
I am looking to install ubuntu os on my laptop but due to RST enabled i am unable to install it. Also when i disable RST my SSD is not detected and there is no option to switch RST to AHCI controller in BIOS.
I want to know if the option to change to ACHI is hidden or something or this option is not available in dell laptops.

Disabling RST enables AHCI mode -- the installer may or may not see the contents of the drive without repartitioning it with Linux.
That said, Ubuntu can be installed with RST active as well.
