Charger 65W vs 45w compatible

Hello.    My wife has an old Dell Inspiron 3552

she needs to temporarily get into to access some old files.   Per searches, it appears to take 100-240V 45W charger which she no longer has.  At my office I went through a box of old Dell Chargers and found a 100-240V 65W.     The barrel end fits in the port.     Will this suffice for a short time to get some files off the laptop?

They both have same hertz and 19.5v

AMPS slightly different

The ones I have say P/N 074V74

Yes. You can definitely use the 65W charger.

As long as the voltage ratings are the same, then yes, you can use it.

Watts and amperage on the power adapter can be more than what the laptop calls for. This will not hurt the laptop as this is simply stating the maximum that the power supply is capable of supplying. However, you don't want to use an adapter with a lower amperage and/or wattage output than what the laptop calls for. In most cases, the laptop will detect the wattage of the power supply, and if it's not significant enough, the laptop will operate at reduced performance.
