65w vs 45w Charger for Inspiron 15 5578

It sounds like I can use a 7.5mm to 4.5mm adapter to power this laptop, from a 65w power plug. Even though the laptop comes with 45w power plug. Is this true ???

This won't cause any issues with the computer or the battery, correct ???

I assume the computer itself controls the input wattage, and it just needs a minimum of 45w ???
