Adding ram and BIOS settings..
I have the Inspiron 3847. I recently bought an extra 4GB ram for a total of 8GB and noticed my MHz defaulted to 1333. Ive heard BIOS settings are locked on alot of store bought PC's, but I was wondering if theres anyway to adjust settings in BIOS. Any help is appreciated.

Speed reductions are usually related to mismatched modules where the speed defaults to the lower speed ram, or if the current (amps) delivered to the ram is insufficient to drive them to the higher speed.
