Resolution

To help resolve the issue, perform the following steps.

  1. Perform a System Restore to a time when the computer was working correctly.

    To perform a System Restore, perform these steps:

    1. Press and hold the Windows (SLN316717_en_US__1iC_Windows_Key_BD_v4) key, and then press the q key.
    2. In the Search box type, control panel.
    3. Touch or click the Control Panel (Desktop app) in the list of programs.
    4. In the Search Control Panel box located at the upper right corner, type, recovery
    5. Touch or click Recovery.
    6. Touch or click Open System Restore, and then touch or click Next.
    7. Choose the restore point date before the last update (a time when the computer was working correctly), and then select Next to start the process.

  2. Update you computer to the latest BIOS version available for your computer. For more information, see Dell Knowledge Base article Dell BIOS Updates.
