| Alert Text | Firmware version of the drive in bus %(bus_num) enclosure %(encl_num) slot %(enclosure_slot) is out-of-date. |

| Impact | Drive will continue to operate normally. |
| Resolution | Cause During a planned drive firmware update, alerts are generated which may indicate problems with the drives being updated. The alert can be raised against a drive for many reasons. For example, drive firmware (FW) is not valid due to drive FW upgrade failed after 8 hour timeout, drive FW upgrade failed due to FW port lock, drive FRU with FW version lower than existing ones. Solution This indicates a failed firmware upgrade on the drive. Verify upgrade logs and contact technical support for further assistance. |
