When logging in to the Dell CloudIQ service for the first time, users may receive the following message: "Invalid Account Type, Your account type is not supported by CloudIQ. Please contact Dell EMC Support."

Complete the registration of your business account on dell.com by following the link and instructions given in article 000021768: How to register for access to Dell Technologies Online Support or Upgrade an Existing Account

When creating or upgrading an account, take the following steps:

  1. Logout from dell.com
  2. Click on the link: Create an account
  3. You are asked to log in again or create an account, this starts the process.
  4. Follow the instructions outlined in article 000021768 ensure to select the option I am an employee of an organization that has purchased Dell EMC enterprise products in the Additional Access Rights Required page.

NOTE: Allow a few days for the registration to be verified.

An automated reply is sent with a case number. A Dell customer service agent follows up with you in a few days.
