VxRail vSAN deduplication

Question

We are deploying a 6 x P570F (all flash) node vxrail cluster. We are looking at configuring deduplication and have had one SME state it is highly recommended not to configure due to performance hit and another SME state they have had no complaints. Has anyone considered or configured vSAN dedup/comp on their VxRail cluster and have positive or negative experience to share?

I'd say it depends :). The key question is type of the workload, for example if this is VDI env with same VM's you will see benefits of the deduplication if the workload is random might be hard to see any benefits.
