VxRail supported on Standard Switch (vSS) vs dVS? + (VMware Licensing)

Hello's

Have a customer that is purchasing a VxRail and looking at the  BYO licenses option. He currently has vSphere Enterprise licenses, and he did not upgrade during the "End of Availability for vsphere Enterprise window" . These edition of licensing does not support Distributed switching, which the VxRail out of the box is deployed with. What are the options here?

  1. Can VxRail networking run on Standard switching? All documentation suggests not. Would break NIOC policies and not sure VSAN on VxRail is supported on Standard switches.

  1. Have the customer upgrade to Enterprise+. Not sure about the customers willingness to do this due to costs etc.

Thanks and please advise,

Sky.

A duh! moment.

VxRail ships with vSAN enterprise which licenses the dVS. Moot question and can be ignored
