U2723QE, S2721QS, macOS daisy chain

Hello,

I have a DELL S2722QC monitor which I connect to a MacBook M1/M2 Pro through an HDMI cable. I am considering buying a U2723QE monitor to daisy chain with the first monitor.

I would like to daisy chain in the following order:

MacBook Pro TB/USB-C out port --> U2723QE USB-C to USB-C cable --> U2723QE #5 USB-C in port --> U2723QE #6 DP out port --> DP to DP cable --> S2721QS #4 DP in port

Please advise if it will work.

Thanks in advance!

Your title states S2721QS yet your body states S2722QC. The S2722QC does NOT have DP in port. The S2722QC has two HDMI in ports and one USB-C.

This configuration would certainly work on a Windows OS Laptop =

Windows OS TB/USB-C out port --> U2723QE USB-C to USB-C cable --> U2723QE #5 USB-C in port --> U2723QE #6 DP out port --> U2723QE DP to DP cable --> S2721QS #4 DP in port

It is unknown by Dell if it will work in macOS. Check with Apple users on the Apple Forum. Why? Because none of the S series monitors are tested/validated by Dell in macOS.

Is it possible to disable the 90W charging?
* No. It is automatic.

After some research, I learned that the following combo does not support a daisy chain for MacBook M1/M2 Pro.

Although I have purchased a U2723QE monitor, it's unfortunate that it lacks a Thunderbolt port. For a MacBook Pro daisy chaining is only supported over a genuine Thunderbolt cable to a genuine Thunderbolt Display as the first display. I have tested by myself and have also pinned some of the references below.

Thanks for the prompt response.

Sorry for the typo. It was meant to be S2721QS, in the body.

Just to confirm, does the U2723QE monitor come with a Thunderbolt port and an associated cable?

Is it possible to disable the 90W charging using the USB-C port from the menu?
