G15 not powering up

Purchased in February 2024. Not used daily. Was charged prior to vacation. Gone for a week. Returned yesterday and now it won’t power up at all. No backlight, no action at all. Battery pack is showing blue LED at the plug, so it’s getting the current. 

the small LED on left side of laptop that recognizes when charging is also not lit up. 

I feel like I’m missing something simple here, but it’s just not working. Has been connected to chargers for the last 12 hours and still nothing.

Basic troubleshooting:  Unplug the adapter from the system, remove the base cover and disconnect the battery from the mainboard.  Hold the power button for 30 sec and reassemble.  See if the system will then power up.

I did that last night after searching for troubleshooting. No luck.

You can try disconnecting the battery to see if the system will power up on AC only, but either way you'll need to call Dell for a warranty replacement either of the battery (if the system will power up without it) or the mainboard (if it won't power up on AC power only).

Thanks for your replies. Apparently my 30 seconds last night was not long enough. I did it again to make sure I wasn’t missing something and now it works.
