U2422H, SB522A Soundbar not recognized, Windows 10

Hi, I purchased Dell Slim Conferencing SB522A soundbar to use it with my monitor Dell U2422H. I connected it to USB port directly in monitor (as requested). LEDs (both on left and right side) are functional but the device itself isn't recognized by operational system, I useWindows 10. Please help me what to do to make it functional.

Thank you all in advance!

Julius

"Currently I have two outgoing HDMI cables from my graphic card in PC"
That doesn't make sense because the GTX 1060 only has one HDMI out port. According to Nvidia, it has three DP out ports and one HDMI out port.

* Open the online U2422H User's Guide to pages 12 and 13. Connect like this and retest =

PC GTX 1060 HDMI out port --> retail HDMI to HDMI cable --> TV HDMI in port
PC GTX 1060 DP out port --> U2422H DP 1.4 to DP 1.4 cable --> U2422H #4 DP in port
PC USB-A port --> U2422H USB-A to USB-C cable --> U2422H #7 USB-C upstream port (not #11 USB-C downstream port)
SB522A USB-A cable to U2422H #8 USB-A port

* What PC model?
* List all of the video out ports on the PC
* You need to tell our users exactly how the U2422H is connecting to the PC. List every port used on both the PC and the U2422H and cabling

You need a usb cable between the computer and monitor.
It should have come with the monitor.

@DELL-Chris M

My PC - Intel Core i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB

You mean list of all "used" video out ports on the PC or all the available ports?

Currently I have two outgoing HDMI cables from my graphic card in PC, one goes to this monitor and one to the TV.

U2422H is connected by one HDMI cable with my PC and by another HDMI cable with my work laptop (I use to switch input source to the monitor by button on the back of the monitor (when both PC and laptop are turned on).

Mmm, the fact is that I don't have the monitor connected to my PC by USB cable, only by HDMI cable as described in my reply to Chris M.

That is why it doesn’t work.

@Andy K Story continues.

I connected monitor using USB-C cable (which was enclosed with the monitor) to my PC.

Soundbar still isn't recognized as a sound source. It is available in Device Manager, but as a hidden item and it shows error "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer. (Code 45)".

Which doesn't make sense because the soundbar IS connected to my monitor (I reconnected it to be sure).

I have been having problems too. Uninstalling the driver and replugging it in fixed mine.

I would remove the SB from the monitor. Connect it directly to the computer. Get some confidence it is working, and then attach it to the monitor. (either by pluggin it in or a USB 3 extension cable

Yes, I connected monitor to PC, that's correct ... but using wrong USB-C port in monitor (the one located on the left bottom of the screen). Now it's everything OK, soundbar is playing my favorite music right now. Thank you for your patience and help!
