Double serial pcmcia card problem

I got a problem when I reboot the computer : the card can't find enough ressource to work ( code 12 )
To correct this, I have to eject the card and insert it back in the pcmcia slot after each reboot.

I tryed any of the possible ressource config (I/O 3e8 3f8 ) which should be free:  still the same problem  , I tryed to change the driver still the same.

my config: a dell latutude c600/c500
my os : windows XP professionnal
my card : a double serial pcmcia card brandless sold by Black Box , detected by windows xp as 'Siliconix' brand

thanks in advance for your help

Is this a combination modem/NIC card you're using?  Have you checked the card manufacturer's support site, to see if this is a known issue, and whether they have any suggested workarounds?  You might also try booting to System Setup (with the card installed) and clearing/resetting the hardware configuration, to see if the system will sort the hardware out properly.  See the link below for instructions.

That card gives 2 additional rs232 port ( for example com2 and com3 ).

I tryed to reset the bios setup with the card inside but the problem stays still.

The brand of the card is Black Box but XP recognize it as "Silicom ltd Doubleserial card "
and I didn't find a update for the driver

TIA

Assuming that the product at the link below is what you're referring to, you might want to see if the available driver is different from yours, whether it works, and if not, whether these people can offer any assistance.
