Inspiron 5675, Ryzen 2 R7-2700X?, #2

@DELL-Chris M Hi Chris, thank you for your reply HERE showing me that the OEM Versions of the 2700's will work with an Inspiron 5675. Everyone was telling me not going to work with 1.4.1 or later 1.5.0 BIOS and that both addressed Security issues. I have been working with PC's since I installed an Intel 386 in who knows what year, but I know that 2 BIOS update done soo many years apart is going to address more than just security period, just can't see it happen. Anyway, I am not sure of my mobo number but clearly recognized that I do most definitely have (2) PCIe x16 slots. I have been doing component level PCB repairs for 30+ years. The exact model number is I5675-A596BLU-PUS on Dell label. And I would be using an OEM Dell 2700x as that's the big seller on eBay. Also I have one of the Wright Spire coolers with The copper center and newer 5 blade Dell fan that has 2000 to 3000 rpm. PLEASE digest that and comment whenever you are able to. I seriously thank you for your post as I now know running an OEM Dell CPU is possible. Again thank you! And special mention to Ron for his many replies to me and for linking up with you put together I got my answer. I wasn't going to not mention your correct replies that got us to this point. Thank You to both, I will be monitoring for a reply. Thanks Guys!

Have a Great Weekend !!!!!!!!!!!    Mike R.

We of course cannot speak to any of the retail Ryzen 2 R7-2700X or Ryzen 2 R7-2700. The Inspiron 5675 motherboards (477DV, 7PR60) that have two full length PCIe x16 slots were validated with the Dell OEM CPU =

MDT18 Ryzen 2 R7-2700X
8N7VW Ryzen 2 R7-2700

The Dell Securities team forces the Platform (Alienware/XPS/Inspiron) teams to release BIOS updates dealing with security issues. They do not fix hardware issues or change hardware limitations unless they specifically state it in the, "Fixes & Enhancements". =

BIOS 1.5.0, 2/25/2022 = Firmware update to address security vulnerabilities

BIOS 1.4.1, 11/18/2020 = Firmware update to address CVE-2020-26186
