Inspiron 15 7510 top lid back replacement part compatability with 15 3510

Hi,

I bought an Inspiron 15 7510 a couple of years ago and my warranty expired last month. This device has been nothing but trouble for me and now it has finally succumbed to the most common fault: the plastic things that attach the hinges to the lid have snapped off.

I was looking around on eBay and for whatever reason the Inspiron 15 7510 lids cost $20-50 AUD more than the ones for the 15 3510 which looks pretty much identical so I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me whether I could use one of those instead.

I doubt there's much point in renewing the warranty as by the sounds of it Dell prefer to blame the customer rather than their engineers.
