Precision T3500, support Port Multiplier?
Does anyone know if the Precision T3500 supports Port Multiplier? I know my Optiplex 960's do. I have googled and looked through the two PDF's I found on the website but could find no mention. Maybe I missed something. If all else fails will try with hooking up the external drive enclosure and see if it works.
Thanks for your time in advance.

Well it seems as if the Precision T 3500 does indeed support port multiplier. The 4 bay external drive box works just fine. So that is something to keep around somewhere.

Neither the training page nor the parts page for the 2009 Precision T3500 list a Port Multiplier. This tells me that Dell never actually tested one in this model. Hopefully another owner can post their findings.

If the external drive pack does not work i can always order this extra card to go with the orther cards i will be installing .
Mediasonic ProBox HP1-SS3 PCI-Express 2.0 x1 SATA III (6.0Gb/s) Controller Card
The specs state that it has port multiplier on it if i read it correctly. But more money needing to be spent.
I think it is about 30.00

I have also found that the wintv 1955 works just fine also. Also in the previous post i use a mediasonic 4 bay non raid external enclosure and no problems just plugged it in and it worked.
