Firmware Update
To resolve the issue, Users must update both the headset and dongle firmware to the latest version. Updating just one results in the headset not functioning properly.
AW920H: Updating the Dongle and Headset Firmware Manually
- Go to Alienware Tri-Mode Wireless Gaming Headset AW920H.
- Download the AW920H Dongle and Headset Firmware.
- Connect your headset to your computer through the USB cable, connect the wireless dongle too.
- Open the downloaded AW920H Dongle and Headset Firmware file.
- Click on AW920HFWUpdaterWizard. Once the firmware update is complete, the "Update Complete! OK" message is displayed.
- Close the window.
AW720H: Updating the Dongle and Headset Firmware Manually
- Go to Alienware Dual Mode Wireless Gaming Headset | AW720H.
- Download AW720H Dongle and Headset Firmware.
- Connect your headset to your computer through the USB cable, connect the wireless dongle too.
- Open the downloaded AW720H Dongle and Headset Firmware file.
- Click on AW720HFWUpdaterWizard. Once the firmware update is complete, the "Update Complete! OK" message is displayed.
- Close the window.
