Symptoms

After connecting one or more Alienware peripherals (mouse, keyboard, headset) from 2016 to present, Alienware Command Center 5.x will be automatically installed on your system. If your system is older than 2018 (see chart), then you will see two Alienware Command Center icons on your desktop (AWCC 4.x and AWCC 5.x).

Solution

Alienware Command Center 4.x is required to control older Alienware systems lighting, while Alienware Command Center 5.x is required to control AW peripherals.
