Run a screen diagnostic - hold D through power up.

If the same fault shows, the screen needs to be replaced.

If not, check the cable that connects the screen to the mainboard for damage, and disconnect and reconnect both ends. If the cable is damaged, replace it.

If that doesn't solve the issue, chances are you have a GPU that's starting to fail -- for that, the mainboard needs to be replaced, and on a system that's about seven years old, that may not be the best use of funds -- it isn't inexpensive, and a replacement system may be a better idea.

The screen is fine, also the cable connecting the screen is fine, when connecting to other monitor nd it does this flanking it freezes on both screens and i had to restart the laptop.

The GPU is failing - see above.  The only way to fix that is to replace the mainboard.

If the system has an Intel GPU, the boards are under $100;  if AMD/ATI, more like $200.  Add another $100 or so in labor charges for the total cost of the repair -- with at best a 90-day warranty on the repair.  That's $200-300 on a 7-year old system;  only you can decide whether that makes economic sense.

It will involve spending more than the system itself is worth on the used market -- like putting a $5,000 transmission in a car worth $4,000.
