coin cell battery cmos battery for XPS 13 9370 where to buy DELL APPROVED?

URGENT. NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHETHER MY COIN CELL BATTERY IS DEPLETED.

Every time i change or unplug the main battery, and do some cleaning, when i restart it boots straight into bios ... and time and date are rest. Is this symptotic of depleted cmos battery? If you unplug the main battery, the bios time and date should still remain intact IF the cmos battery is not depleted? Is this the logic?

Also, I need to replace it, where do i purchase it. DELL CONVENIENTLY DOES NOT SELL THIS ITEM. AND TELL US LOWLY USERS WE NEED TO MAKE SURE TO PURCHASE  A DELL APPROVED ONE. WHERE??? HOW??? PLEASE SPECIFY IMMEDIATELY.

@Chino de Oro thank you very much i looked into it they say it is the genuine real deal but not specifically for xps 13 9370 yet compatible!

Do they ship internationally? You are expert in this area!

From the product link, scroll down to product details and look at compatible Dell laptops to find your device model.

You never disclosed where you are, just asking for where to buy.  However, parts-people does international shipping the last time I checked.  Except for lithium batteries.

based out of hong kong, trust nothing here. But DELL produces next door in shenzhen everything but this CMOS battery.

Parts-people has been known for selling Dell genuine parts.  For international shipping to Hong Kong, you may have to spend around $20 USD for shipping.  It will be quite too much for just a battery.

Alternatively, if you are handy, you can find an ML-1220 or 1220 coin cell battery at any electronic shops in Hong Kong and use the existing cable from your OEM battery and self build a replacement.

I know you were only asked for where to source the OEM replacement battery.  But, it may not be the problem unless you have been running your laptop without the main battery for 2 - 3 years and therefore, depleting the coin cell backup battery.

Just want to mention it.  Although the symptom pointed to coin cell battery, the laptop may have a different issue.  Perform a hardware reset or RTC reset and test again.

@Chino de Oro do i have to remove the main battery when replacing the cmos battery? it doesn't say. in the manual for xps 13.

I will see how to source the battery as i hoped to replace the cmos current cable it was once replaced by Dell itself but the technician put in one with extra long cable that had to be fixed via duct tape.

When you need to work on internal parts of your laptop, it's always necessary to remove power source from the system, which includes the disconnected or removal of main battery.
