XPS 8960, PCIe slots caution

XPS 8930

XPS 8930

It's sad looking at the Q&A on the product page where the Dell reps don't even have an understanding of what PCIe slots are used for.

If the photo on the web site is that of the Nvidia 4080/90, it seems like 1 slot (at the bottom) might be usable? The new AMD offering specs out at 2 1/2 slots (instead of 3 for the Nvidia) but I don't know if that would reveal the upper PCIe slot for use or not.

That notation is simply stating that the XPS 8960 has three PCIe slots (x16, x4, x4).

It is not stating with that video card in the picture that the other two PCIe x4 slots are available.

I get that.  If they sold the unit WITHOUT a graphics card, then that information would be useful.  If you buy the unit as they have configured (and pictured) it, you can NOT "add additional sound cards, graphics cards and 4K video capture cards"

Thanks for the image reminder, I'd forgotten the two x4 slots were below the x16.
