Studio XPS 8100 no POST beep but starts and runs fine

I have a Studio XPS 8100 desktop from 2010, still running Windows 7, shortly to be retired. For quite some time it starts up and runs fine with no POST beep during start up, not even a single one which our other desktop of similar vintage but different brand does. Just posting here to ask if this is normal?

Thanks!

My XPS 8100 w i5 cpu doesn’t beep either. My vostro 200 w core 2 duo beeps. It depends on model.  Both quite old.

Beeping at boot is not normal.  Although it is working normal, there is some issue the machine is trying to tell you.  Give it a new or good coin cell battery to see if that will resolve the beep message.

I misunderstood the question and provided an irrelevant suggestion.  Please disregard.

No beep is good.  No need to fix thing that isn't broken.

@Chino de Oro Thanks for responding. The thing is the XPS 8100 DOESN'T beep at all at start up while other desktops we have of different brands DO beep once at start up. To be honest I don't actually remember if it ever did beep at start up. I'm just curious . . .

@redxps630 Thanks for responding. Good to hear (I guess) that your 8100 doesn't beep either at start up. It's always puzzled me why this is when other desktops beeped but the 8100 has always behaved so I figured it was just how the 8100 is.
