XPS 8950, front cover bezel platinum silver?
Hi,
Does anyone knows where to obtain a replacement for XPS 8950 front cover bezel, platinum silver? Please see attached photos. Please note that the power button is above the CD/DVD tray slot. I have no luck with Dell support, eBay and Amazon.

Dell Spare Parts..? 1-800-357-3355.
Have Service Tag handy when you call DSP. (Don't post Service Tag here.)

I gave them the number as shown in the second photo including Product Code: 8KCW3. Dell knows the part but I am still waiting for the email to inform me that it is in stock. I have been waiting for months.

@RoHe
I chatted with Dell online and called sales support. They said they would send me an email to inform me when it is available but I have been waiting for months. I will give this number a try.
Thank you.

would you consider a XPS 8960 silver front bezel that has no ODD slot to replace your missing 8950 bezel?

Hi:
What do you mean by "odd slot" ?
The reason that I am looking for a new one because of a broken plastic anchor which is one of the anchors that locks onto the chassis metal frame to secure the bezel , there are still 3 of them left , so the bezel is still able to lock in place securely.
I can't believe Dell would approve such weak design, the plastic anchors rely on their flexibility to work, they will break eventually. I need to remove the bezel to clean the dust from the air filter.

"odd" = optical disk drive
Don't think that will work because you won't have access to the odd with the bezel that was suggested.
Wait until Tues and call Dell Spare Parts. Can't guarantee the part is in stock, but that's may be the best place to ask...

My acronym is a bit rusty.
I have to obtain the exact model of the bezel with opening for the optical drive. Dell's newer systems only offer external USB optical drives.

I figured that other bezel wouldn't work for you.
Hope Dell Spare Parts has the bezel available for your XPS 8950. Post back and let us know...

Dell has informed me that the bezel is out of stock.
Anyone can recommend a good glue for plastic? Regular super glue won't work.

There is some confusion here. Dell cannot sell this. In the SPMD (Spare Parts Master Database), 8KCW3 shows as =

@DELL-Chris M
I did ask if it could be purchased, and they kept saying, for the past few months, that it was not in stock, they never mentioned that it couldn't be purchased. I guess I have been wasting time since they kept telling me they would send me an email to inform me when it is in stock.
Is this database accessible to us customers?
I wish Dell had not used this flimsy design, probably trying to save cost.

* No. That is a Dell internal only tool.
