XPS 8940 Digital Audio output?

Hi, I just ordered the XPS 8940 SE with an RTX 3070. This will be my first ever prebuilt system, for 20 years I've been building my own, but this year's GPU shortage has been crazy.

One thing I'd like answered is whether this PC has digital audio output, other than through HDMI?

Solved: XPS 8940, what are the audio ports? - Dell Community, indicates the the middle 3.5mm jack is Digital, but then other posts say it isn't.

I like to use S/PDIF to a little desktop amp. Does anyone know if this can be added with a breakout board or do I need to buy a sound card or use audio over HDMI to the monitor (which has an analog output)? Although that's probably the same as the onboard analog.
