XPS 8900, replacement OEM video card

I've been having some odd blackout issues on my monitor that happens sporadically and lasts about 5 seconds.  I have changed out all cables, KVM boxes, and most recently a new monitor and it's still happening.  The only thing left in the chain to replace is the GPU (GeForce GTX 745).  I'm not a gamer so I don't need super 3d graphics power.  I'm a home business user so just need basic computing graphics needs.

After a few hours of research it's clear I need a Dell OEM card as going with an aftermarket card would require disabling the Secure Boot option which I don't want to do especially with Windows 11 coming soon and requires it.

What GPU cards would be a good fit for my scenario?  Do I need to find another OEM GTX 745 on eBay or elsewhere or is there a better OEM card that would work?

Thanks,

Tom

For home business you have option to use integrated on board HDMI or DP video port. You do not need to buy a discrete video card.  If you suspect the old 745 is having issue, just uninstall it then try the integrated video.  If you still get intermittent black out then it is something else causing video signal loss.

The XPS 8900 will not have drivers for Windows 11.  See this--

I had already mentioned I am currently using the onboard graphics to power a secondary monitor.  My primary monitor is fed from the GPU card which is the monitor that occasionally blacks out.  I want to keep the current configuration so simply outputting a single monitor via the onboard is NOT what I'm after.

Re:  I want to keep the current configuration

you do not have to get a replacement GTX 745. A simple discrete card that has same video ports (dvi, vga, hdmi) as the 745 would do for home business.  For example Dell OEM gt730 has same three video ports.  DP/N J27RG

both 745 and Dell OEM 730 use gddr3.  There is a better gt730 that uses gddr5.  It is not from Dell and it costs more.

XPS8900 spec recommended these:

NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti (no need for 6 pin)
• NVIDIA GTX 960 (6 pin)
• AMD Radeon R9 370 (6 pin)

gddr5 video card is better than gddr3.

your psu comes with 6 pin connector.
