VxRail - SAN to vSAN Migration using HBAs in VxRail Nodes (Data Path)
VxRail - Using HBAs for VM Migration - Does anyone have any details on the
data path when migrating VMs from FC Storage to vSAN (using HBAs in VxRail nodes? Migrations are running super slow. vSAN is AF 4x Disk Groups, 4x 25GbE. HBAs in 4x nodes running at 8GbE. Thanks much for your insight

The data will go from the FC HBA (VMFS) filesystem to the vSAN datastore. When it's written to vSAN, it will be going over your network to hit that datastore. Given that a migration is essentially a large sequential write, the number of nodes and disk groups per node could be causing slowness. If you look at the vSAN performance monitoring service, are you seeing high congestions or outstanding IOPs?
