Vmware VSAN SQL always on availability groups
Dear
My environment VxRail HCI Server with VMware VSAN 6.7. I’m trying to Configure SQL Always on availability groups with a Windows Failover concept. That Means Both Server assigned individual hard disk (Active and Active). But unfortunately after Cluster Configure Disk automatically goes offline.
As per My understanding SQL HA requires RDMs, But VSAN its not support?

Hello Abubakkar Sithik,
A VxRail system is not configured as an active active as you are wanting to do.

Dear SAM
Thanks for your prompt response.
Regarding if you we configure Windows Native Cluster (WSFC) on vxrail we faced lot of technical issue. ex: Snapshot feature not possiable. Ok i can understand this is from VMware side VM Limitations when hosting a WSFC with shared disk on vSphere .(https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2147661)
In this case no need snapshot, im ready to run without snapshot WSFC, but again if set vxrail goes maintenance mode, virtual machine not migrating another Node.
If possible can you assist, How to configure SQL always on Cluster with Windows Failover cluster on Vxrail or VSAN

Hello Abubakkar Sithik,
not quite sure if I got your point, as SQL on WSFC is different form SQL with always on.
AFAIK, Clusters based on WSFC requires shared disks while SQL always on did replicate content via the network and therefor shared disks aren't required.
Did you check the following VMware document?
SQL Server Failover Cluster Instance on VMware vSAN Native
It should answer many/most/all of your questions.
