delete a storagevolume when the array-lun is already delete ?

hi all,

we had a workshop on customersite and we made a test-lun (distributed) in the vplex (metro) for demo-usage.

when the workshop finished we want too delete this test-lun. from top we delete the distributed volume and at the end the storagevolume on each array was present in the cluster 1 + 2 then I detach the lun on vnx-site and made a rediscover on vplex of the array but the storagevolume is not disappearing.  I think I had too delete the stoaragvolume before, but now i must fix the problem.

Where can  tell me in which way i can delete the storgevolume in vplex, when there is no appropriate lun  present anymore.

What version of code are you on? In newer releases if you rediscover the array it will ask if you want to forget unreachable luns. Selecting this should clear this up

It seems like the version you are on does not have it, therefore you will have to go through the CLI and use the “forget” flag which is described in the CLI guide

just confirming, when you clicked rediscover array did you check this box "Forget unreachable LUNs"?

After deleting the volume from the Storage group, you also have to remove the volume on the VPLEX . Ankur mentioned one way of removing the volume and the other way is , select the array--->show logical units---> forget Unreachable LUNs
