99GTM NDC Quad-port showing 6 ports in iDRAC on R640
The system and components are all updated. However, when I go to iDRAC this NDC is showing 6 ports when it should only be showing 4-ports. I have a stack of these NDCs all with part number 99GTM that I am testing and noticed the discrepancy. I've tried repurposing the system and rebooting/resetting iDRAC. Also cleared the NVRAM but still showing 6 ports.
In device settings, the NDC is shown but its missing ports 3 and 4. Any reason for this?

Hello, now that everything seems to be up to date, I am suspecting it may be the "99GTM NDC quad port" .
Part #:99GTM
Part Desc.:CRD,NTWK,12G,RNDC,INTEL,2+2,V3
I looked up and do not see this for the 14th Gen servers. Only up to 13th. And as you might be aware, your model R640 is a 14th generation model.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a 13th gen at the moment but I will install them in a R720xd and see how it behaves.

The NDC works as expected in a R720xd. Thanks for clearing that up.
