Major database breach

Jerico Pictures Inc., a background-checking company doing business as National Public Data, exposed the personal information of nearly 3 billion individuals in an April data breach. 

Cybercriminal group USDoD posted a database entitled “National Public Data” on a dark web forum, claiming to have the personal data for 2.9 billion people which includes Social Security numbers, full names and addresses for many, but not all, individuals, since, obviously, there aren't ~3 billion SSN numbers. The group offers the database for sale for $3.5 million.
