Why I'm LEAVING SupportAssist

My Dell XPS 8940 Windows 11 has a SupportAssist that doesn't work. Today and not for the first time it gives me a spinning circle and after a few minutes recommends I restart the computer and try again and I do and it then recommends it update itself and the update installation fails and it recommends I restart the computer and SupportAssist a third time and I do and again the spinning circle and the recommendation to restart the computer and SupportAssist and the recommendation it update itself and the update installation fails... the procedure recommended here does not indicate more than temporary resolution, and the absurdly time-consuming eleven-step process recommended here is unreasonable, I think, for anyone who does not regard the administration of their home personal computer to be their unpaid full-time career. I am taking the advice of one XPS_Man here and leaving SupportAssist. Microsoft's Windows 11 seems to be able to take care of updating itself without the help/interference of SupportAssist. That's right, I'm LEAVING SupportAssist.
