Uninstalling Visual Studio, then restarting allowed the installation of SA.

Hi bhuivul:
What is the exact text of your error message, or does your SupportAssist installer just get stuck when the download reaches 100%?
What is your Dell computer model, the version and build of your Windows 10 operating system shown at Settings | System | About | Windows Specifications, and do use a third-party antivirus and/or anti-malware program (e.g. McAfee LiveSafe, Norton 360, Malwarebytes Premium, etc.) that loads at Windows startup and runs in real-time protection mode?
What is the version number of the Dell BIOS installed on your computer? To find your current BIOS version open a Run dialog box, enter msinfo32 to open your System Information panel and look for the “BIOS Version/Date” field.
Was SupportAssist installed on your computer when it shipped from the factory (i.e., are you trying to re-install SupportAssist) and are you using the SupportAssist installer downloaded from the SupportAssist for Home PCs support page? Dell employee Dell-Chris M has posted instructions at SA Uninstall / Reinstall that has several additional hints (e.g., updating your BIOS and Intel Chipset Device Software driver first, uninstalling all SupportAssist-related software including Dell SupportAssist Remediation, Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery Plugin for Dell Update, etc.) that might help you install SupportAssist successfully. When I use DELL-Chris M's instructions I go one step further and uninstall all SupportAssist-related software using Revo Uninstaller Free in Agressive Mode instead of uninstalling the usual way from Control Panel | Programs | Programs and Features. I allow Revo Uninstaller to remove any stray registry entries and files it finds that were left behind behind by the uninstaller to ensure I'm getting a clean reinstall of SupportAssist.
