SupportAssist on a private network or intranet?

Hi,

I am used to using Dell SupportAssist on a public network that has free access to the internet.

Now I have a new job that uses a private network that does not have direct access to the internet. There is a web portal that can be used but that is accessed by a remote desktop connection to a proxy.

Therefore if I was to install Dell SupportAssist on the computers we support that are on the private network, then Support Assist will not be able to talk to the Dell SupportAssist server.

I know that I can input the Service Tag of a particular Dell computer on the Dell support home https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us and download the drivers individually and manually over the portal.  However I like the fact that the Dell SupportAssist would scan a particular computer and give indication of what particular drivers are out of date and need updating.

Is there a quick and efficient way to know what Dell drivers are outdated on a Dell computer and need to be updated without using Dell SupportAssist that has a direct connection to the internet?

For the Dell Command Update and the SupportAassist to work, the PC needs to be connected to the internet.

You could use the "Check for updates" option on the support site to check for updates manually and install the recommended drivers.

These are the only options available for driver detection and installation.

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.
