somebody please help with burning cds

I am having problems when I burn cds. When I play a burned cd on my walkman the songs dont play back to back. when one finishes it doesnt go on to the next one. This problem happens when I use windows media player and roxio. I dont understand when I put the cd into the computer or stereo it works fine and dell doesnt want to help me because they dont support burning music cds

It sounds like a problem with the Walkman.  Are you burning Track at Once, or Disc at Once?  The former adds a 2 second gap between each song that perhaps your Walkman can't recognize.  Disc at Once has no gaps.  If you are using Track at Once, are you finalizing it?  Again, perhaps your walkman can't handle that.

Try burning using Disc at Once and see if that solves the problem.

I dont think its the walkman because when I burn the cd on my desktop the walkman plays it normally. and could you explain how to burn at once or finalize the cd or whatever cause I'm not sure I understand how to do that. thanks for your help

Are you making MP3 CD's or standard (CDDA) audio CD's?

If you are making standard audio CD's from wav files, use the "Music Project" in Roxio, and as mentioned the Disk at once method.  Also do not burn the CD at speeds over 12X (at least to start).  Many audio CD players have problems with CD's burned at "high" speeds.
