V525w Printer Not Scanning with Windows 8.1

Just set up a new Inspiron 17 (5000 Series) running with Windows 8.1 (64 bit) and it detected my V525w All-in-One printer (via USB) and it prints fine, but it won't scan. Dell Printer Home tells me to install scan drivers to enable.  I've installed the entire drivers package for this printer several times and I always get same result - I can't scan.  Does anyone have a link to install just the scan driver or know how I can troubleshoot this issue?  Thanks!

Resolved!  Not sure how it happen, but after installing the drivers package, a Scan icon appeared in my list of apps that works.  So, I cannot scan by opening the Dell Printer Home or by clicking through Control Panel to Devices & Printers, but I can successfully scan by opening the Scan app.

TeamRandall5,

Did you install the OCR Program from the printer disk? The OCR Program is needed to scan and fax documents.

Thanks RockStar!  I was able to successfully scan using a Scan app.  See my other comment.
