Precision 5550 - OCP fuse 2 fault

Hi all, I have flashing LED error 1 amber 4 white that is not documented in the service manual (not good).

BIOS says that yesterday an event was logged: "OCP fuse 2 fault" (OCP is overcurrent protection).

No information again in the service manual nor specifically googling for it.

Anybody knows what this OCP fuse 2 refers to?

The computer is working fine, maybe a bit too hot. Of course if a fuse is blown, then there should be no current and something should have stopped working; or, this is a resettable fuse and somehow the computer knows it is not working properly? ... don't know.

If it helps there is also CAPS LOCK LED stuck on, but Caps Lock works although stuck lit up.

Thanks in advance!

I have solved in the meanwhile.

Cause: Crappy Chinese USB extender, with something dead inside drawing abnormal current from the USB 3 port.

The OCP fuse did its job, but it's not written clearly that this fuse is for the USB.

Trial & error associating the abnormal heat on the let top side.

Why the Caps Lock was lit on that's still a mistery. However, no flashing LED and no stuck lit on Caps Lock any longer. The root cause is always China! :)
