VMware ESXi 7U3 driver version needed for Emulex LightPulse LPe16000B-M6-D
Hello,
Wondering if anyone can help me please. I'm looking for this driver:
Firmware: 12.0.257.19
Device: Emulex LightPulse LPe16000B-M6-D
Host is, DELL PowerEdge R730 (out of support)
VMware ESXi uis 7U3.
Emulex card is supported but VMWare don't have the driver.
iDrac shows a later driver and firmware installed than the one above so assume I need an older driver.
Screen shots from server and VMware support.
I've patched the server from LUM(VMware) and Host(iDrac) hoping it would help but unfortunately not.
Plan B would be to replace the card :( I have another card installed which works, must be a newer model.

Your "VMware HCL" screenshot shows under Type "VMware Inbox" which means that the VMware* ISO Install contains the driver as long as the card identifed it self by VID + DID + SVID and SSID. Use a lspci -vv to pull out the infos.
*I expect the same for the Dell Custom ISO(but who knows).
You can extract any given *.vib(vSphere Integrated Bundle) from the Offline Bundle*.zip. Just download the latest Dell 7.0.3 ZIP(not the ISO) and dig into it.
If you are unable to locate it just drop a note and i will take a look.

Joerg
