Server won’t boot after physical move to new location
Hey all
I’m sure this is probably a very simple fix but I can’t seem to figure it out.
Our server was set up and installed at my home just after lock down for remote access by one of the team that needed access to a particular software. Yesterday I decided to move the server back to the office as I’m back there 90% of the time. I shut down and unplugged the server, moved it to the office and plugged it all back in again but it won’t boot (see attached screenshot). The only thing I can see different, I think, is that one of the green lights on the PSUs at the back is not coming on. Apart from that I can’t figure out what could have changed.
Any help or links would be most appreciated.

try changing the bios boot mode to UEFI instead of BIOS mode (how it is currently set). F2, then Boot Mode I blv.

Hello,
No worries, let's keep it simple and check some of steps:
Then please do a power drain like below:
1. Power the server down.
2. Disconnect server from all power cables, Network cables.
3. Hold down the power button continuously for at least 10 seconds.
4. Insert power cabless and network cables back to the system.
5. Wait about 2 minutes before powering on the server for iDRAC to be refreshed.
6. Power the system on.
Check system event logs in iDRAC if you see any warning on there.
Hope that helps!

@DELL-Rey G that fixed it! Thanks. The CMOS battery has failed so I’ll have to change that
