Poweredge T610 Hard drives caddy
Just wondering what options I have with the HD caddy in this machine. What caddies fit it with Sata hot swap and such.
Thanks in advance

A bit of digging got me this link. It says that it includes the screws even, so for ~US$50 you can save quite a bit on the cost of buying storage (drives).

THe 610 (11G) drive caddies are totally different from existing caddies and only fit the 610 or other 11G servers. Both SAS and SATA disks fit, they just use different mounting holes.

2.5' inch old caddies works perfect in new servers(11G) and 2.5 new caddies works also perfect in old servers (2950III).
So they are interchangeable because I have done that more than one time.
No idea about the 3.5'

Have you found any more information on the drive caddies? I call Dell Parts and they said they don't sell the caddy separately. I don't mind paying a little more, but it seems a little much to pay $600 for a 300GB SAS drive with caddy from dell vs $300 or so elsewhere.

You can by the caddies if you call consumers parts - they don't know if the restriction. 877-671-3355. I was ably to get both 2.5 and 2.5 caddies. The only problem I'm having is getting the caddies screws - dell has sent me two packs and both don't work. I have been at this for 4 weeks with them because I want to add 5 SSS drives. I have all the parts but the screws. The small business/server division told me they cannot sell them individually because of a contract with a supplier. So, you have to pay 3x's the cost if you want to do it yourself. Anyone have any ideas for screws for the F238F carrier and Y004G Assy brk? They have sent me screw packs (1213C and G937k) and both don't work.

2.5 caddy's are completely compatible
3.5 caddy's are completely INcompatible. New onces are smaller and rails are different. See photos:
