iDRAC Directory Services Integration

Hello friends,

Recently I realized that when trying to log in the IDRAC of my servers, it shows the screen and after I insert and type my password it is locked on the screen, trying to start.

Note that LDAP is trying to connect to a domain controller in a locality far from a very bad connectivity.

We found the option to disable the lookup of Global Catalog Server with DNS and so we can tell which Domain Controller is closest.

The doubt we are is:

- When we enable the query to be executed with DNS, this decision to know which Domain Controller will connect to iDRAC uses the preferences of the iDRAC configuration DNS configuration?

If not, how does he decide which Domain Controller he will connect?

Thanks.

Hello thanks for choosing Dell and welcome to our community.

First I’d check to see if LDAP is windows active directory service

If so, this manual may help:
