E13F5 PCI SYSTEM and E13F4 PCI PARITY error.

We have PowerEdge 4600

with the following errors "E13F5 PCI SYSTEM and E13F4 PCI PARITY" In flashing orange.

There are no PCI cards installed but I did remove the chassis and the riser card for the memory.

I unplugged all the power and hard booted the server.

It came up fine but within an hour the error returned.

The server is working fine.

Is this a BIOS problem or do I rearlly have to replace the motherboard?

Stella11,

With you powering up without the riser and the error temporarily clearing I think the issue is with the motherboard. Do you happen to have another 4600 you can use the known good riser from? Just to confirm if it continues with a known good in it.

Let me know.

I do not have another 4600 and what compounding the issue is that it is an accounts server that is used 24/7 so down time has to be kept to a minimum hence the question, Motherboard or BIOS?
